As the situation with the global Covid-19 pandemic is getting better in Estonia and most restrictions have been eased up, I was finally able to do a proper photoshoot – with people! And what fun it was!
The photoshoot was with Metsik Kuu. We’ve had a few photoshoots before as well, but who (or what?) Metsik Kuu actually is?! Metsik Kuu is a small Estonian company, who mainly produces natural soy wax candles. The candles are handmade in small quantities of ecological soy wax and infused with different high-quality essential oils to spark your senses. No artificial fragrances or dyes have been added to the candles, so all the products are as natural as possible. My personal favourite is the lemongrass scented candle.
The words ‘Metsik Kuu’ are the Estonian equivalent to ‘Wild Moon’. The moon symbolizing our feelings, emotions, inner life and home and showing us what we need for emotional happiness. Combining the deeper meaning of the moon + the strong power of essential oils = Metsik Kuu.
In front of this awesome little company is Terje – the woman who makes all this happen!
We’ve been friends for years before her company was even born and had our fair share of shenanigans along the way, but if I’d have to describe her in a few words, they would be: determined. fearless. caring.
It’s been fun to watch her little business bloom! :)
“Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared”
– Buddha –
The photoshoot was fun as always and this is what I now call the ‘Photographer’s Yoga’:
